Simple, Beautiful, and Made to Be Used

There’s a difference between something you store away and something you actually use. More often than not, it comes down to how it fits into your space. A simple glass jar can turn everyday essentials into something more intentional, more visible, and a little more enjoyable to reach for.

These DIYs are meant to live out in the open. Easy to make, easy to use, and just as functional as they are beautiful.

Soothing Oatmeal Bath Salts

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup oatmeal

  2. 3 Tbsp Epsom salt

  3. 1 tsp Fractionated Coconut Oil

  4. 10 drops Lavender essential oil

  5. 10 drops Sweet Orange essential oil

  6.  Weck 760 mini jar (160 mL)

Directions

  1. Add oatmeal and Epsom salt to a blender or food processor and pulse until finely ground.

  2. In a small dish, mix Fractionated Coconut Oil and essential oils.

  3. With the blender running, slowly drizzle the oil mixture into the dry ingredients.

  4. Pour into jar and seal.

To Use: Add 2–3 tablespoons to warm running bath water and soak.

DIY Oatmeal Bath Salts

Pest Repelling Outdoor Wipes

Ingredients

  1. ¾ cup 91% isopropyl alcohol or high-proof alcohol

  2. ¼ cup distilled water

  3. 1 Tbsp Fractionated Coconut Oil

  4. 1 Tbsp Almond Oil

  5. 30–40 drops Nature Shield or Shield Me

  6. 1 roll paper towels

  7.  Weck 742 jar (0.5 L)

Directions

1. Cut paper towels into 4 segments and place along the walls of the jar, enough to fill the jar

2. In a bowl, combine alcohol, water, carrier oils, and essential oils.

3. Mix well and pour evenly over paper towels.

4. Allow towels to fully absorb liquid

5. Seal jar tightly.

To Use: Pull a wipe from the center of the roll and gently wipe exposed skin, avoiding eyes and mouth.

Reseal jar tightly after each use to prevent the wipes from drying out.

Outdoor Wipes DIY

Carpet Refresher

Ingredients

  1. 1½ cups baking soda

  2. ½ cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch

  3. 15 drops Lemon Essential Oil

  4. 15 drops Peppermint or Eucalyptus Essential Oil

  5.  Weck 742 jar (0.5 L)

Directions

  1. Place 2–3 tablespoons of baking soda in a small bowl.

  2. Add essential oils and mix well.

  3. Add this scented baking soda to the remaining baking soda and arrowroot powder and mix thoroughly.

  4. Pour into a 16 oz jar and seal tightly.

To Use: Sprinkle lightly onto carpet, let sit for 15–20 minutes, then vacuum thoroughly.
