This week’s featured oil is Palmarosa.
This grassy plant is related to Lemongrass and Citronella! Join me in taking a closer look at the under-rated Palmarosa and all the fantastic things it is capable of.
This is quickly becoming my go-to oil for my kids. I love using it along with Fir Needle to deal with all things respiratory. Since it’s KidSafe, it’s a must-have in my house. Here are a few ways I use Palmarosa:
- In a cough steam (click here) It’s great for coughs/colds
- Use in your diffuser, combine 3-4 drops of Palmarosa with 2-3 drops of Lemon or Sweet Orange for a refreshing and anti-germ blend.
- Create a personal inhaler (click here) I love this allergy blend
- Add a few drops, along with Helichrysum Italicum, Frankincense Carterii, and Lavender, to an unscented lotion. This will help repair dry skin! Using 1 ounce of unscented lotion add 3 drops of Palmarosa, 1 drop each Helichrysum and Frankincense, and 4 drops of Lavender.
