End of Year Review with Plant Therapy

This has been quite the year. And while we’re ready to look to the new year for better things and a fresh start, we want to take a moment to look back at some of the highlights, challenges, and changes that 2020 brought.

TOP 5 PRODUCTS

Defender Glass Cleaner

With so many new products this year, it was difficult to choose our favorites. But at the top of the list, it would have to be our Multi-Surface Cleaner Concentrates. Powered by plants and essentials, they’re a fantastic natural way to keep your home clean and positively sparkling. We started with our incredible Defender blend but were then able to give you festive cleaners in two of our most popular holiday scents: Christmas Tree and Holly Berries.

Grapefruit Cardamom Natural Deodorant

If there’s one product we’ve been asked to make more than any other, it’s deodorant. After lots of hard work, we were proud to offer Natural Deodorant in two of our most-loved fragrances. Whether you choose Grapefruit Cardamom or Tiare Flower, you’ll smell fresh and stay dry all day long. Plus you can pair the deodorant with the coordinating body creme or butter for a full body scent experience.

Age Defying Hand Cream

What’s better than Age-Defying Body Crème for everyday soft skin? Age-Defying Hand Creams, of course! You can take these conveniently sized tubes with you on the go. Plus, they’re available in several lovely scents like Sweet Orange & Neroli, Forever, or one of our holiday blends like Candy Cane, Gingerbread, and Sugar Plum!

Naturally Scented Candles

It’s no secret we’re a fan of diffusing essential oils and blends to scent our homes. But sometimes the ambiance and gentle aroma of candles is a wonderful way to switch things up. Combining an all-natural blend of soy wax and coconut wax, these Naturally Scented Candles use essential oils and other natural fragrances to give you the subtle aroma of Bamboo Rose or Lavender Vanilla.

TOP 5 BLOG POSTS

It wasn’t just a big year for new product releases, we also devoted ourselves to bringing you quality education about essential oil basics, new products and fun, quality DIYs. While there were many hits, five posts really stood above the rest.

COVID CHANGES

COVID came and everything changed, not always for the better. We maintained flexibility so that we could continue to provide our customers with excellent service, maintain steady employment for many families in Southeast Idaho and plant kindness to the community in as many ways as possible.

Gift Cards from local businesses

Small, local businesses were hit hard this year. As a way to help those businesses and thank our employees for their tireless work, Chris Jones (our CEO) purchased over $25,000 worth of gift cards from 18 of the locally owned businesses in our community to give to Plant Therapy employees and issued a challenge to other business owners to jump in and help in similar ways.

Packing lunches

With the help of local food vendors, we made and gave out 1,000 sack lunches at our 2nd Avenue S location in Twin Falls, ID to provide an essential meal to those in need. Whether it’s kids, seniors, or struggling families, we wanted to make sure those in our community were taken care of and fed.

Mother helping her son with a mask

Safety is a big part of what we do at Plant Therapy. With the COVID threat, we implemented recommended CDC safety measures at our production and fulfillment facilities. And we transitioned as many employees who can to work from home.

DONATIONS & PLANTING KINDNESS

While we did what we could to help the local community, we recognize the need was much greater than just our state. Whether it was sending care packages to hospitals and essential workers across the country or partnering with our customers to see where is most, we’re committed to doing our part.

West Coast Fire Donations

As fires burned across the west coast, we wanted to help. So we reached out to our customers to let us know which organizations and non-profits were doing the most work on the ground. We were able to donate $3,500 to The American Red Cross, $3,500 to the Santiam Hospital and $3,708.25 to United Way of the Colombia-Willamette.

Year in Review

We put together care packages for teacher appreciation week, sent products to a number of hospitals, and special gifts to assisted living facilities. To learn about more of our efforts to plant kindness across the nation during COVID, click here.

Be the Good

The donations don’t start, or stop for that matter, in 2020. It is integral in who we are as a company and we are always working to be the good in the world. Here are just a few of the organizations we donated over $5,000 to this year:

  • Boys and Girls Club
  • Make-A-Wish
  • Africa Heartwood Project
  • St Jude’s Research Hospital
  • Impact Your World (Hurricane Laura Relief)
  • Operation Underground Railroad
  • NAACP LPF
  • Loveland Foundation
  • Operation Zero
  • And more…

While we’re all glad to see the back of 2020, we were able to create some great with the help of our amazing customers. Here’s to better and brighter things in the new year!
