Cautions:

Persons with nut allergy should not use this oil.

Tamanu Carrier Oil is cold pressed from the fruit of the Calophyllum inophyllum tree. Although there are several areas where this tree is produced, this particular Tamanu Carrier Oil originates from Madagascar. The fruit (seeds) are hand gathered from the coastal Tamanu Trees, as they are said to yield the highest quality oil. This remarkable, glistening greenish-brown oil is a must have for skin issues. Tamanu is rich and thick and absorbs into the skin luxuriously and slowly. It is best used within a blend with other carriers, because of its viscosity.

Tamanu can help reduce and relieve reddened, irritated, skin prone to blemishes, and offer relief from pesky outdoor bug bites; soothing and repairing as it is applied. Using Tamanu Carrier Oil can help reduce the appearance of scars and marks caused from weight gain or pregnancy. Tamanu is gentle, effective, and promotes restoration and healthy skin growth, which will leave the skin soft and feeling better than new.

To help reduce the appearance of scars, combine Tamanu Carrier Oil with Plant Therapy’s Skin Restore at a 5% dilution and apply to the area daily. Apply Tamanu at 100% to reddened, irritated, or small bites from pesky outdoor insects to help soothe and relieve. A small amount can be used on the face after it is cleaned to moisturize, reduce and relieve blemishes, keeping the face fresh, toned, and even.
Users can expect a shelf life of 2 years with proper storage conditions. It is recommended that cold-pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. Refrigeration is best. Bring to room temperature before using.

5.0 5  Tamanu oil

I use this particular carrier oil in a recipe that came with last year's PT socks.. Beautiful green color and used Tranquil synergy as the essential oil in the foot balm recipe. Straight from the bottle , a bit of a nutty smell , but I like it !! The foot balm recipe smells wonderful !!! And is heavenly on my poor ole feet !!! Thank you PT for another wonderful carrier oil :)

4.0 5  Works Well, but Smells STRONG

I love how this feels on my skin and how my face has been feeling and looking since I started using this oil. The one caveat is the scent. It is one of "those" oils that have a very strong scent. To me and my husband it smells like soy sauce or like a beef curry. With that strong scent, I have to be mindful about the time of day I apply it (don't want to be walking into work smelling like this necessarily).

5.0 5  seems to be working

I finally decided to go for tamanu to make a scar blend for my daughter's bitten up legs. I figured if I'm spending that much money on a carrier oil, I am definitely going with PT who I trust! I made up the scar oil in a roller bottle for her to use every night. It really does seem to have worked. There are no raised or lumpy scars and we will continue using to see if it helps with discoloration.

5.0 5  Great oil for Skin

I love this oil for skin uses, especially on my face. I sometimes mix some into my Younger Glo/Anti-Age essential oil blend before applying it to my face. I also like to use this when I want to make the consistency of my healing balm thinner. This is one of my staple carrier oil that I make sure I always have around.
