Spruce Black Product Sheet

Harvested from the picturesque boreal forests of North America, Spruce Black is an abundant coniferous tree that produces an essential oil loaded with therapeutic properties. Historically, Spruce Black has been used in ointments, salves, and lotions to help soothe muscular discomfort and to ease tight breathing associated with seasonal concerns and pollen threats. With its fresh and uplifting aroma, it also helps lift away feelings of the winter doldrums by fighting off fatigue and energizing the senses.
Use 1-2 drops in a sinus steam. For a muscle-relaxing blend, mix 4 drops of Spruce Black, 3 drops each of Chamomile Roman and Cedarwood, and 2 drops of Copaiba Oleoresin with 1 ounce of your favorite Plant Therapy carrier oil. Mix well and apply to tight, overexerted muscles, or for an overall relaxing massage. For topical application, dilute to 2-3%.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that essential oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a medical doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

4.0 5  Fresh Forest

Definitely well described of its fresh, earthy woodsy smell. A little on the medicinal side but appreciated for its respiratory benefits as well as adding an herbaceous tilt to any blend.

5.0 5  Shield for health

More familiar eo like eucalyptus, ravintsara, pine and among others, which all claim protective to our immune and respiratory systems. Here I would give more credit to Spruce Black. At first I tried Spruce Hemlock but now couldn't find from here anymore. This Spruce Black accompanied me in the last winter. I kept diffusing it everyday in my office and I was lucky enough staying healthy throughout the flu season.
