Ravintsara Product Sheet

Ravintsara Essential Oil originates from Madagascar and is extracted using steam distillation from the leaves of the large, evergreen Ravintsara tree.

Ravintsara, not to be confused with Ravensara, is a versatile essential oil that can be helpful with areas of discomfort. It has a fresh, sharp, medicinal smell that is similar to Eucalyptus. This oil is a go to for chest congestion, stuffiness, and tickly throats, due to its 1,8 Cineole content. It helps with discomfort in the legs and arms, as well sore muscles from overexertion. This essential oil is a powerhouse against skin issues and helps to promote natural healing of minor wounds.

Due to its high content level of 1,8 Cineole, it is not an essential oil recommended for small children. Ravintsara is a great essential oil to support a healthy respiratory system as well as a healthy immune system. Ravintsara promotes positive thinking and can be helpful with cognitive performance, focus, and soothe worries and fear.

For adults only. To make a chest rub to open up the chest and improve breathing, mix 3 drops each of Black Pepper and Frankincense Carteri, 6 drops each of Lavender and Ravintsara, with 1 ounce of your favorite Plant Therapy Carrier Oil.   Apply every 3-4 hours. Store unused portion in a glass container and store in fridge.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that essential oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a medical doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  New oil for me

I got Ravintsara because it is useful for respiratory issues and immune support. Just a couple inhales from the bottle and I could breathe much better. Thank you PT

5.0 5  Great relief for tired legs

I bought this then had no idea what I would do with it. Then I noticed on the product sheet it mentioned fatigued legs. I happened to have just spent the entire day on my feet in the kitchen so my legs were achey. I mixed some up in unscented lotion and rubbed it on and it immediately helped. Tonight, my legs and feet are very tired from walking a lot on vacation and I thought of my ravintsara. Again, an immediate help when applied. I'm going to try to remember to take this on vacation with me from now on!

4.0 5  Eucalyptus Lite

I've really been enjoying Ravintsara --- I just wish it were a bit more powerful. It's a catch 22, the oil has been INCREDIBLE for stuffy noses, and is great to diffuse at night because it doesn't have the energizing element that comes with eucalyptus. However, it's simply not quite as strong of a scent as eucalyptus (although what is?) and I feel like you need a lot more of it to get that nasal-clearing scent. For example, I usually load up the diffuser in our regular-sized bedroom with at least 20 drops before I register that it's diffusing --- again, a catch 22 because the 30ml bottle goes quicker than I'd like, but it's lower priced and doesn't keep you awake like eucalyptus. So, I suppose I do recommend Ravintsara; it's got a fantastic scent, just not quite as powerful as I expected!
