SDS Report

Originated in South America, Palo Santo comes from the Palo Santo tree that translates in Spanish as “holy wood.” This sacred tree has been used for centuries for its healing properties and potential to ward off negative energy.

The oil is distilled from the aged heartwood from the trunk of the Palo Santo tree that is rich in terpenes such as limonene and α-terpineol; making this a cousin to Frankincense and Myrrh. Due to its powerful chemical makeup, this essential oil is well known for its healing, calming, and cleansing capabilities.

Add 2 drops of Palo Santo, 2 drops of Lavender, and 1 drop of Mandarin to 1 tablespoon of bubble bath or body wash; mix into your bathwater to help relax and alleviate the lows from everyday worry. To help reduce tenderness, mix 2 drops of Palo Santo, 2 drops of Frankincense with 1 ounce of your favorite Plant Therapy carrier oil and apply topically to the affected area. We recommend a maximum dilution of 3% for topical applications.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.
