Manuka Essential Oil Product Sheet

Manuka Oil has been treasured for centuries by the Maori people, who are indigenous to New Zealand, where the low shrub originates. Although the plant is sometimes called a "tea tree," Manuka Oil differs in composition, source, and origin from the well-known Tea Tree Oil. Like Tea Tree Oil, however, Manuka Oil has many wonderful uses on the skin, including calming red, inflamed areas and soothing irritation caused by nature's pests. Manuka Oil can also help restore dry scalp and nails to vibrancy. For those who struggle with reactions to irritants in the atmosphere, Manuka Oil can help to neutralize these effects. It also provides relief for discomfort caused by seasonal illness. For the mind, Manuka Oil's sweet, herbaceous aroma is calming, particularly during times of extra worry.
Use Manuka Oil in salves, balms and ointments designed to sooth red, swollen skin. To deodorize, relax and cleanse feet, add a few drops of Manuka Oil to an epsom salt foot bath. You can also add Manuka Oil to body wash or bath oil blends, and you can add it to shampoo to help combat dry itchy scalp. Diffuse Manuka Oil to help restore emotional balance.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  Manuka, where have you been all my life?

I have had Manuka on my wish list for over a year and I finally bought it during customer appreciation sales. I am in love with the scent! It has that sweet smell of fallen leaves in autumn. Yes it does smell a little like the Hobby Lobby flower aisle but that is so comforting to me! I can\'t stop smelling Manuka straight out of the bottle. Cannot wait to try it in a shampoo and for scrapes/owies/bug bites.

5.0 5  Surprisingly calming

Manuka is soothing, and relaxing for me. It\'s got a bit of an earthy, leathery smell that\'s calming when diffused.

5.0 5  Bug bites!

I get huge red welts when I get bitten by any big. Mosquitos are exceptionally bad. I will put this oil straight on the but bite and within a few hours it's like I was never bitten! No itchiness, redness or bump at all! The smell is odd, very much like leather. I have horses and this smells like all of my horse tack with a woody kind of addition. It's weird, but it works so amazingly well that I will never be without it!

5.0 5  Unsure

I just got my Manuka oil order and am using it for the first time right now. I was surprised by the scent. Not sure what i was expecting... maybe a little more like Tea Tree but it didn't smell anything like that. It smells like musty books met a sweaty leather shoe? It's not great and I know it sounds strange but it's not unpleasant either lol. I've heard amazing claims about what it can do so we'll see.
