Cananga is an exotic and sultry essential oil with a warm, sweet, floral aroma. Even though it is a relative of Ylang Ylang, this floral has a softer, more subtle scent that is fantastic for perfumery. Use this essential oil to help promote calmness, soothe nervousness and create a relaxing environment. Cananga is also great for helping alleviate sore muscles and joints as well as supporting healing for small scrapes and bruises.

"Cananga is a lovely floral oil!!!! A drop or two goes a long way!!! (Especially in a diffuser blend, I get a headache if I do more than 2 drops; in case that's a helpful tip for anyone!) I enjoy using Cananga in DIY perfume recipes too!! For those wondering, I would personally purchase both Cananga and Ylang-ylang to see which scent you like better! I know they have different therapeutic properties, so doing your own research would be helpful too!! I like both Cananga & Ylang-ylang and personally just use whatever I have on hand."

I used to love ylang

"I used to love ylang ylang but found the smell is too strong even just a little dab. I'm so glad I tried Cananga EO at Plant Therapy! The scent is a lot less intense than Ylang Ylang. Cananga gives a calming floral feeling with just enough sweetness. It was an instant mood booster/sense of peace with it. The scent of this oil is not overpowering so I think it's a good substitute if you don't like Ylang ylang. Definitely a favorite and can’t wait to find other uses and recipes for skin care and diffuser."
