Product Description

Plant Therapy is proud to offer Vanilla Botanical Extract that is sustainably sourced from Uganda!

Uganda is one of the main areas of vanilla production in the world, with perfect agri-climatic conditions. The green beans are harvested in June/July and December/January. In Uganda, a fast-curing and hydro-distillation process has been developed resulting in a higher content of vanillin, giving the final product a rich, intense, vanilla aroma. Vanilla Botanical Extract will bring a gourmand, inviting scent to any blend. It is a favorite for body products as it blends well with so many oils. You can also use Vanilla to help relieve agitation and promote a relaxed environment.

Q&A

I am not sure what a tincture is or botanical extract. Can I blend this oil in to add scent to my body oil? It doesn’t contain any water, correct?
What an excellent question! Indeed, you have the option to incorporate the Vanilla Botanical Extract into your body oil or diffuser, or employ it much like any other essential oil. Worth noting, this oil doesn't contain water; its extraction employs Hydro-alcohol distillation, akin to an absolute extraction method. To delve deeper into the subject of Vanilla Botanical Extract, this informative blog post is at your disposal: https://www.planttherapy.com/blogs/blog/new-vanilla-botanical-extract?_pos=1&_sid=d8d0ed3e9&_ss=r. 💚😊🌿🌱
Hello! Is this an alcohol based tincture or an oil? Your previous explanation doesn't really answer that. I just need to know to determine which part of the saponification process it would go in. Thanks!
We apologize for the confusion! The Vanilla Botanical Extract would be considered an alcohol-based tincture. You would add it in with the rest of your additives. We hope this helps! 😊💚🌸🌱
Hi! What is a botanical extract? How is it different from other essential oils which are steam distilled or solevant?
Hello, Thank you for contacting Plant Therapy! That is an excellent question! In Uganda where our vanilla is sourced, a fast-curing and hydro-distillation process has been developed resulting in a higher content of vanillin. The final product has a rich, intense, vanilla aroma. Hydro-alcohol distillation is a high-pressure process for extracting essential oils. When vanilla is processed this way, the resulting botanical extracts have a more intense vanilla aroma compared to steam distillation.
