I’ve noticed it puts off a smell for a few days, but only in the areas within 5 feet. I’ve placed it on the side table next to both the couches and you can smell it from both. I use the same oil or oils that smell good together, since it holds onto the smells slightly (there’s no way to purify the smell and start over, as far as I know)."
