Chamomile German CO2 Product Sheet

Chamomile German CO2 Extract has a less powerful aroma than steam distilled Chamomile German. It is softer, more herbaceous, and "truer" to the scent of the flower. The CO2 Extract version also does not have the expected deep blue color of the steam distilled oil. Chamazulene, the component that gives Chamomile German its blue color, develops during the steam distillation process. However, Matricine, a component which is the precursor to Chamazulene, is proven to be even more potent in its effects, making Chamomile German CO2 Extract the preferred oil to use to help protect and soothe dry or reddened skin.
Use Chamomile German CO2 Extract in salves, balms, and ointments designed to help protect and soothe dry winter skin or skin reddened from sun or wind. Chamomile German CO2 Extract can help soothe baby's bottom in a diaper area ointment or balm. For facial skin, it reduces the appearance of redness or blemishes. You need very little of this powerful CO2 to get excellent results; we recommend 0.1-0.2% in skin blends.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  Love!

This German chamomile is amazing and all I expected. The CO2 makes it seem a bit stouter for longer. Definitely worth the price here.

recommend  Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

5.0 5  An excellent chamomile

This blue-ish oil has the wonderful scent of fresh chamomile tea. The calming effects are the same as the Chamomile Roman EO, and I find I need less to achieve the same results.

5.0 5  BEST Chamomile EVER

I am madly in love with this CO2! It is so much more effective than the steam distilled oil and so little is needed to get the effects. It smells like fresh chamomile flowers too instead of the medicinal scent of the distilled oil. I bought a small bottle of this and the Lavender CO2 from the August OOTM for my daughter to use for her kids.

5.0 5  Amazing!

I ordered this because I just had orthoscopic knee surgery and was looking for some relief from the pain deep within my knee that the narcotic meds just mask temporarily. As soon as I got it in the mail I put 2 drops in a 10 ml EO bottle with jojoba oil and gently applied some between my stitches and felt almost complete relief from the pain in minutes. I also applied a drop of the blend to the sore spots in the muscles where I have been walking funny and experienced the same degree of relief. Then I also noticed that my skin in those areas wasn't itchy anymore. This is FAR more effective than the steam distilled oil and it's worth every penny. Next I'll be making an ointment for my granddaughter's severe diaper rash she is having. Prescription ointments haven't helped but I suspect this will. This is a MUST HAVE and I am anxious to add this to my chamomile infused herbal oil.

5.0 5  This smells/works AMAZING!!!!

I recently bought both Roman Chamomile and German Chamomile CO2. I must admit, I MUCH prefer this chamomile over the Roman. I love The Roman chamomile for it's sweet smell as it smells like you might expect concentrated apple extract to smell. It's SUPER sweet which is awesome for balancing blends with more earthy notes used for stress. THIS chamomile is much more balanced in smell. It is still sweet but more grounded and light, much like how a true chamomile tea would smell. I LOVE IT! It's definitely THICK like motor oil but with patience, it releases from the dropper no problem. This stuff is POTENT!!!! A lot goes a loonngg way!!!! (.1-.2 dilution for topical). After trying both, I can definitely say, Roman Chamomile has it's place on my favorites list for it's aromatic benefits but the C02 version of this oil is TOP NOTCH when it comes to soothing reddened and sensitive skin. I made a face serum with it and immediately noticed a difference!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
