Wood

Strength of Aroma:

Cedarwood Himalayan has a dry woody aroma, slightly sharp and smoky, balsamic, and very subtle with a hint of spice.

Cautions:

None known.

Like our Cedarwood Atlantica, Cedarwood Himalayan has excellent properties in supporting and maintaining a healthy respiratory system, especially during those (seemingly) never-ending winter months! Added to skin care products, it can help balance oily skin, and it is a wonderful oil to diffuse for emotional support.
Diffuse Cedarwood Himalayan along with a couple of drops of lavender, eucalyptus, Roman chamomile, or rosalina. Place a couple of drops of Cedarwood Himalayan into witch hazel, shake well, and drop onto cotton balls or pads to use as a facial toner.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

A lighter, sweeter, cedarwood

Himalayan Cedarwood is my go to cedarwood oil. Not as deep and vanilla-rich as Cedarwood Atlas it nonetheless has a very similar aroma but it is lighter, and sweeter in scent. Therapeutically I use it in all the same ways as Atlas and find it to be just as effective.

I like it very much!!

Some of the Reviewers stated that this doesn't smell like real Cedarwood. All I know is that The Cedarwood Virginian (Which I have from Plant Therapy) is a lovely oil in itself, but for me it has a very strong, almost overpowering scent. I use it in blends, but wanted something a bit "softer" for my nose. I really love this Cedarwood Himalayan. It has a lovely soft scent, and I am enjoying using it in my diffuser and in skin toners that I make. If you find some of the other Cedarwoods a bit strong. Try this one, I think you will like it. I do.

LOVE this smell!!!

I've been obsessed with the smell of (real) cedar since becoming pregnant. I agree with the other commenter that it doesn't smell like real cedarwood from a real piece of wood but it still smells amazing! This is by far my favourite smelling EO.

Cedarwood?

Although very pleasant, this oil doesn't smell like cedarwood. I was hoping this would smell just like when I walk into the barn when my husband is cutting up some cedarwood. Having said that it does have an appealing and uplifting aroma, but if you r hoping for a woodsy scent, (like I was), this is not the oil you want.
