Caraway Seed CO2 Product Sheet

Our Caraway Seed CO2 is sourced from Poland and comes from the seeds of the Caraway plant. The main constituents are Limonene, which is well-known for it's stimulating and uplifting properties, and Carvone which helps with digestive issues. Caraway Seed CO2 has a warm, herbaceous scent that is similar to fresh rye bread. This aroma is very grounding and balancing to the senses, but can also offer an energizing boost when you need to stay alert. The warm, rich scent is a favorite to use in perfumes or room spray to help mask odors found around the home or office.

In certain conditions at a low temperature Carbon Dioxide or CO2 can be pressurized to become a liquid. This liquid then acts as a solvent and is used to extract the oil from plants. After extraction is completed, the extraction vessel is brought back to normal temperature and the CO2 rapidly converts to gas, leaving behind a high quality oil that is free of solvents.

What does this mean? During the steam distillation process the heavier, larger molecules of the plants do not make it through. This, however,  is not the case for CO2 extraction. In many cases it is these heavier, non-volatile molecules that carry the most therapeutic components in the plant.

Caraway Seed CO2 is extracted using carbon dioxide. This form of extraction is richer and closer to the true plant, retaining more of its beneficial properties. Due to the extraction method, it has a longer shelf life as well, lasting up to 5 years. Jam-packed with therapeutic properties, Caraway Seed CO2 is a must have in the essential oil collection. Caraway Seed CO2 can be used for an energizing boost when feeling tired or lethargic. It is also great to support a healthy digestive system and ease the occasional digestive upset. Use it to support a healthy respiratory when seasonal threats occur and a healthy immune system all year long. This essential oil is great for skin and hair care. It can be used to balance and cleanse the skin, especially those with oily or blemish-prone faces.  Use it for the hair to keep it cleansed and flake free.

For energy on the go add 4 drops of Caraway CO2, 3 drops of Orange Sweet, and 2 drops of Black Pepper to a personal aromatherapy inhaler. Apply drops of essential oils to wick and reassemble inhaler. Inhale 2 - 3 timers a day, to help when tired or lethargic.

Use 3 drops of Caraway CO2, 2 drops of Chamomile Roman, 2 drops of Cardamom, 1 drop of Spearmint, and 10 mL of your favorite Plant Therapy carrier oil to make a tummy soothing synergy. Put the essential oils in a 10 mL roller bottle and then add the carrier oil to fill. Insert roller and roll on tummy to help with occasional digestive upset.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

I add this oil to a certain homemade soap recipe I make, along with cinnamon, clove, bergamot and sassafrass (I still have a small amount left as it is now illegal to buy). \nLove this! So glad you carry it! Thanks!

So glad you carry this! I love to add this with cinnamon, clove, bergamot and sassafrass (which is no longer legal to buy- but I still have a small amount!) to add to a certain soap recipe and I love it! The caraway seed adds a depth to the scent that I cannot get with any other oil.

5.0 5  Works like a charm

I made both recipes on the bottom of the information sheet, and love them both. Instead of an inhaler, I put the drops in a small spray bottle with vodka and made a spray instead. The tummy tamer recipe works wonders!
