Bergamot Mint Product Sheet

Bergamot Mint Essential Oil originates from the United States and is extracted using steam distillation from the flowering tops of the perennial flowering Bergamot Mint plant. Bergamot Mint is not a well-known oil, but once you experience its incredible properties, it is sure to be an oil you will not forget.  Bergamot Mint has a light citrusy, fruity aroma with a hint of mint and is reminiscent of Lavender. This refreshing aroma can provide emotional support, calm the mind, and help renew the spirit. The soft minty scent can provide the boost you need to feel awake and ready to go. Bergamot Mint is a great addition to beauty and bath products and can be helpful during turbulent times during a woman’s cycle.

The main constituents are Linalool and Linalyl Acetate, which is well-known for it's uplifting and calming properties.  The chemical makeup of Bergamot Mint crosses between Lavender and Bergamot, with a hint of mint. It is safer than other mint oils, and unlike Bergamot, it is not phototoxic. Due to its high Linalool content, it is calming, yet not sedating, and can carry you away from everyday worries. It can help with body discomfort, occasional digestive upset, and support a healthy immune system. When musty or unpleasant smells abound, Bergamot Mint can offer a refreshing, clean scent. This wonderful oil is packed with beneficial properties that is a must have in every oil collection.

For a heavenly serenity bath blend, mix 3 drops of Bergamot Mint and 1 drop each of Mandarin and Sandalwood with 1 tbsp of fragrance-free shampoo. Add 1 cup of Epsom salt and one half cup of full fat crème (optional) to a bath once the water has run and soak your worries away.

To calm an upset tummy mix together 3 drops of Bergamot Mint, 2 drops of Bergamot, and 2 drops of Spearmint with 2 tsps of your favorite Plant Therapycarrier oil and rub on the tummy in a clockwise motion.

3.0 5  Tummy Helper

We use this oil to help with tummy aches since my kids hate the dill smell of tummy all gone. I have this in a roller and they grab for it when their tummy hurts.

5.0 5  Like a fresher Lavender

I got Bergamot Mint when it was the Oil of the Month last year. To me it smells primarily like Lavender (they share the same two primary compounds), but a fresher, slightly minty-citrus version. If you\'re not a huge fan of lavender but want to get a lot of the benefits, try Bergamot Mint!

5.0 5  calming

This doesn\'t much remind me of Bergamot. But I like it. To me, the \"mint\" has a slight licorice scent. Not overpowering, just a touch. It\'s a calming scent. I feel like I will want to grab for this oil for digestive issues.
