Balsam Fir oil is steam distilled from the wood of Balsam Fir trees. It has a distinctively woodsy aroma that conjures up the scent of the great outdoors as well as the winter holiday season. While Balsam Fir makes a wonderful addition to holiday blends, it also has many year-round uses. With an uplifting yet soothing effect, Balsam Fir is an excellent oil for calming muscles and joints after a long day or intense workout. When diffused or applied topically to the chest, this oil can help support a healthy respiratory system. Additionally, Balsam Fir is cherished by many for its emotional balancing effects.
For muscle relief after a strenuous exercise, dilute to 2-5% in a carrier oil of your choice and massage into the affected areas. Alternatively, you can add a few drops to your favorite unscented lotion. For respiratory distress, diffuse Balsam Fir oil, apply diluted to your chest or add a few drops to a warm bath.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

Love!!
I'm so happy Plant Therapy is now offering Balsam Fir. I received this w few days ago and absolutely love the scent. Comparing to another brand I own, this oil has such a bright Christmas scent. Enjoying using this on my sore muscles!

Great.
This oil has a sweet pine smell. I love it. I read that it has antiseptic properties so I like to diffuse it to cleanse the air.

Use it for aches and respiratory. Great scent is just a bonus!
This is the best Balsam Fir I've found. I use it for as a rub for aches and pains. Diffused, it helps clear respiratory and sinus congestion. There is a subtle, but active, component of increasing a cheerful mood. I also find that it makes my house smell great, but that's just a happy by-product. The cost is very low, and yet the benefits are very good. I feel this EO is underrated.
