Valerian Root Product Template Sheet

Valerian Root Essential Oil is steam distilled from the roots of the Valerian plant to produce a high quality essential oil with absolutely no additives or fillers. Valerian Root has a strong aroma that is typical for root oils. It has a spicy, musky, aroma that is earthy. Valerian Root has an acquired scent, and when using in blends only one drop is necessary. Valerian Root is a very calming oil that can be used to quiet mind chatter, inspire inner calm, and give a sense of grounding to the inner self. It can be used before bedtime to promote relaxation before sleep. It is best used in a blend due to its strong aroma and only a little is needed to utilize its therapeutic properties.
To quiet mind chatter or to inspire inner calm, add 1 drop Valerian Root, 3 drops Neroli or Petitgrain, and 4 drops Litsea (May Chang) to the wick of a personal inhaler.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

I LOVE this oil. I combine it with Vetiver and Lavender and put it on the bottom of my feet at night before bed. I call it my "stinky feet" oil because it does NOT smell good. What it does is two fold. First, within approximately 5 minutes, it calms my restless leg syndrome and my legs stop twitching. For those of you who suffer from this, you know how annoying the twitching is. It is amazing how quickly it helps. Second, this blend helps me sleep. It doesn't make me fall asleep, but it makes my sleep deeper. I am a super light sleeper and wake several times per night to go to the bathroom, turnover, or whatever and have multiple mini dreams all night. After putting this blend on the bottom of my feet, I sleep so deep that I dream all night and either wake up once or not at all. I never knew what sleeping a full 8 hours meant until I applied this blend to my feet. I love it and highly recommend it.

I've had issues sleeping for many years. Things work for a brief period of time and then stop. Since discovering this miracle oil I sleep like a baby every night. Just a few drops in my diffuser and I'm set.

One of my favorite oils. Getting hard to find. I use it for sleep and relaxing. I mix it with vetiver and use a cotton ball that I keep in a very small tin or container. I can open it and inhale deeply as much as I like. Unlike most, I enjoy the scent. It is a little overbearing when diffusing, which is why I use the cotton ball.
