Tea Tree is one of the world’s best known and loved essential oils. For decades, nearly every home medicine cabinet in Australia has held Tea Tree oil. It imparts a fresh, medicinal, green woody scent and is wonderful added to a homemade house cleaning spray, especially in steamy, musty areas like the bathroom or a sickroom. Popular uses include diffusing to help promote healthier air quality in the home and to aid in immune system support, along with diluting and dabbing on teenage skin blemishes. Organic Tea Tree oil is widely appreciated for its cleansing properties and can help soothe skin that’s been kissed by the sun too long.
Add Tea Tree to a spray bottle of white vinegar or distilled water to combat mustiness in a warm, steamy bathroom. Dilute Tea Tree in witch hazel and dab with a Q-tip directly on teenage blemishes. Diffusing Tea Tree during times of seasonal illness can promote healthier air quality in the home.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

Tea tree oil is my favorite! As an antiseptic, antifungal oil, it can be used to treat cuts and scrapes--preventing infection and minimizing scarring. It can be used to calm itching from poison ivy or insect bites. I use it to disinfect items (such as restaurant salt & pepper shakers) when I go out. Use it with your shampoo to prevent dandruff and relieve itching. I carry tea tree oil in my purse at all times--never know when you will need it.
