Tea Tree is one of the best known and loved essential oils around the world. For decades, nearly every home medicine cabinet in Australia has held a bottle of tea tree oil, and it is affectionately known there as “first aid in a bottle”. Tea Tree oil is wonderful added to a house cleaning spray, especially in steamy, musty areas like the bathroom or a sickroom.
During times of seasonal illness, Tea Tree oil in the diffuser can help clean the air in the home and is a wonderful immune system support. Tea Tree oil is also useful in clearing teenage skin blemishes.
Add tea tree to a spray bottle of white vinegar or distilled water to combat mustiness in a warm, steamy bathroom. Dilute tea tree in witch hazel and dab with a Q-tip directly on teenage blemishes. Diffusing tea tree during times of seasonal illness can promote healthier air quality in the home.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

My husband has been battling toe nail fungus since he was a kid. He has tried all of the prescription medications, had a few of the nails removed and nothing has really worked for him. He read online that tea tree is great for that so started using it neat (against my recommendation, but he is a man and doesn't listen!) He puts a drop on every night and rubs it in on all of his toe nails. Within a week he started noticing a difference. He has been using it almost a year now and has commented that it reduced the fungus and his nails don't hurt any longer. He has gone through 2 30ML bottles and I just ordered more because he wanted to make sure he never runs out! I also use Tea Tree in my homemade hand sanitizer, along with Peppermint and Lavender or Germ Fighter. Works wonders and it smells great! Just get aloe gel, Vitamin E, and I use 1TBSP alcohol and put in a small spray bottle with a few drops of the oil. You can use 100 proof Vodka if you don't want to use rubbing alcohol.

Tea Tree + Eucalyptus on a bowl of steamy water helps me through allergy season. Breathe deep and I get some relief. Plus I use tea tree in body washes and household homemade cleaners. Love this stuff!

This is my favorite oil so far. I use it daily with a Shea Butter cream I made. I melted about 4 oz. Of Shea Butter and add 40 drops of tea tree oil, cool it in the fridge for 35 min then I whip it. It helps keep my skin soft and tame breakouts! I also use tea tree oil for spot acne treatment.

It took me a very long time to like the smell of Tea Tree but I've come around. My favorite way to use is in my laundry; especially smelly towels.
