Star Anise oil is estrogenic and therefore should not be used in pregnancy, breastfeeding, endometriosis, estrogen-sensitive cancers, and children under 5 years of age. We recommend a maximum dilution of 1.75%.

Instantly recognizable by its warm, sweet licorice scent, Star Anise essential oil is believed to be helpful during a woman’s normal transition to menopause. It helps ease the sudden heat and sweating which often is present during this trying time in women’s lives. This oil is also helpful in relieving the feeling of having over-indulged at the dinner table. Star Anise can help smooth out the discomfort and fullness of a “tight tummy.”
For a nice pick-me-up, diffuse 3 drops of Star Anise, 2 drops of Lemon and 1 drop of Peppermint. This same blend of oils in two teaspoons of carrier oil applied to the abdomen is also helpful with calming occasional digestive upset or a queasy stomach.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Bottles are filled by volume. Some bottle sizes may not be filled to the top, but do contain the volume of oil specified.

3.0 5  Stronger scent than I expected

Star Anise is described as having a medium fragrance strength, so when I diffused it with U.S. Western Peppermint and Lemon, both rated as strong fragrance strengths I was surprised to find the Anise over whelmed both other scents. I can\'t smell either the peppermint nor the lemon. Even after I finished diffusing the 3 oils, wiped out the duffuser clean and tried diffusing just the peppermint and lemon alone, the residual anise scent over powered the first diffusing and has still present in subsequent 5 diffusing, however it has faded more and more faint with each batch. \nThe scent is delicious ( I really like black licorice) however I just wanted a hint of Anise. I prefer Anise as an accent to other main scents/flavors. It would be difficult to use this Anise as an accent (diffusing) because it is so potent. In fact it seems like a waste of other oils to diffuse Anise with them as they won\'t be detectable. I only use oil to diffuse so it\'s not for me. \nThe bottle lable suggests a mixture of 3 drops Anise, 2 drops lemon and 1 drop peppermint which surprises me. In my experience of using the three all in equal parts neither the peppermint nor the lemon were discernable.

recommend  No, I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.
