Star Anise oil is estrogenic and therefore should not be used in pregnancy, breastfeeding, endometriosis, estrogen-sensitive cancers, and children under 5 years of age. We recommend a maximum dilution of 1.75%.

Instantly recognizable by its warm, sweet licorice scent, Star Anise essential oil is believed to be helpful during a woman’s normal transition to menopause. It helps ease the sudden heat and sweating which often is present during this trying time in women’s lives. This oil is also helpful in relieving the feeling of having over-indulged at the dinner table. Star Anise can help smooth out the discomfort and fullness of a “tight tummy.”
For a nice pick-me-up, diffuse 3 drops of Star Anise, 2 drops of Lemon and 1 drop of Peppermint. This same blend of oils in two teaspoons of carrier oil applied to the abdomen is also helpful with calming occasional digestive upset or a queasy stomach.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Bottles are filled by volume. Some bottle sizes may not be filled to the top, but do contain the volume of oil specified.

thank you

Hi - I just wanted to say thank you for calling out not to use with endometriosis.. I have to be careful with oils, so as always, appreciate your concern with safety! Thank you!

Love it

I'm a huge black licorice lover so when I read this smelled like the candy, I had to try it. Once again PT did not disappoint. It has a very nice scent and smells just like licorice. It doesn't take much so be careful when using it in your diffuser. I Haven't tried blending it with the recommended yet but I have blended it with vanilla and Ylang Ylang which smells quite nice. Definitely recommend

OMG, I love this oil! I've been going through menopause for a long time. I really think that by diffusing/breathing this oil my night sweats and hot flashes are less severe! =D It smells yummy and sweet like black licorice
