Spikenard Essential Oil Product Template Sheet

Spikenard or Nard, has an unusual name, but is a well known essential oil that has been used since biblical times. Spikenard is steam distilled from the roots of the Spikenard perennial flower that only blooms during the months of August to September. Although it is only available for a short period of time, this essential oil is definitely worth the wait. The warm, earthy, woodsy smell with a hint of spicy and sweet, is a dream to the senses.

This oil has been used in aromatherapy for its abilities to create a sense of peacefulness and relaxation. An exceptional essential oil for hair and skin care, digestive support, and deodorizing odors. Spikenard is not new to the essential oil scene, it is a powerful oil that has a variety of uses, which are sure to make this one of your favorites!

To make a relaxing bath before bedtime to ease your mind into a peaceful sleep, add 1-3 drops of both Spikenard and Chamomile Roman to a tablespoon of carrier oil or a cup of milk and add to your bath water; relax, and breathe in the scents to let your mind calm down for the day. Mix Spikenard with a 3% dilution to your favorite cream, lotion, or Plant Therapy carrier oil, diluted to 3%, to soothe reddened skin and aching muscles. Diffuse in your favorite aromatherapy diffuser, personal inhaler, or aromatherapy diffuser jewelry to reduce tension and fear; also to induce an atmosphere of peacefulness and calm.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

Love love LOVE!

I own probably 50 oils, and this is my favorite. Received as an OOTM. So glad it is now offered bc when this runs out I'll be able to refill! For those who don't know, this is a biblical oil, mentioned many times throughout scripture. It is the oil that the woman washed Jesus' feet with. I love that I can smell the same oil that Jesus did. But it also is a very relaxing oil, I use it to help me sleep either by itself or with lavender. Works perfectly! I also use it to relax when tense, and also when I do my Bible study. Smells earthy, kind of like moss. But in the best way possible.

Very calming and grounding

I've been wanting to try this oil for over a year now and I finally got my chance at a very reasonable price. I love it! It is so earthy and grounding and even has a tiny bit of sweetness to it. I can't wait to use it at night to relax and unwind. Very happy with my purchase!

Strong and sweet

I was curious to experience the scent of the oil that the woman in the Bible anointed Jesus' feet with. VERY potent, sweet, perfume-y smell. I can see how the scent would fill the home where Jesus was anointed. Pairs well with clary sage, tea tree, roman chamomile and sandalwood.

Not what I expected

Puchased this based on a recommendation from a friend for a condition my wife is suffering from. However, neither one of could get past the smell - my wife had to mix with francensence, myrrh and turmic to tolarate the smell. in combination with all the oils we believe her condition will get better. We encourage each reader to be their own judge and defuse it for themselves. We will purchase it again...
