Sichuan pepper is a spice from the Sichuan cuisine of China's southwestern Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. Despite the
name, Zanthoxylum schinifolium is not related to black pepper or chili peppers, but belongs to the Rutaceae family, the
citrus family. Sichuan Pepper CO2 brings to mind the citrus facets of Petitgrain, while the metallic effect gives a
tingling sensation and a unique, complex and pure spicy profile. Rich in linalool, this CO2 is perfect for promoting
relaxation, while the limonene provides uplifting properties. When applied topically, it is used to help ease discomfort
and aid digestion.
Aromatic - Diffuse using 2-4 drops per 100 mL of water or use in a personal inhaler. Topical - Dilute to 2-3% in a carrier.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that essential oils be taken internally unless under
