Saro is a small aromatic evergreen tree that originates from the Northwestern coast of Madagascar. Saro is often found in
tropophyte forests, close to the water or in rocky, shady areas. Light yellow in color, Saro Essential Oil is steam
distilled from the leaves of the Saro tree during the rainy season. Although the aroma of Saro is similar to other
medicinal oils such as Tea Tree, it gives off a citrus hint giving this oil a light and invigorating scent.
Due to its high content of 1,8-cineole, Saro is a perfect solution to ward off germs found in everyday
life and is useful for healing purposes. Saro's local name is "Mandravasarotra," which translates to "which keeps
bad things away." In line with this translation, the oil is still used today to boost immunities by keeping
germs at bay. Saro can also be used for irritation or tenderness when blended with other oils to be used
for a variety of common ailments such as irritated skin or muscle soreness caused from every day use.
This all around versatile oil is excellent for a variety of purposes that are helpful to the
mind, body, and soul. The medium to strong scent will not only invigorate the senses, but uplift
and revitalize the soul, helping to stave off worry and feeling down.
It can be used to support respiratory health when being diffused or inhaled.
