Peppermint Western U.S. is regarded as higher quality than non-U.S. Peppermints because it has a smoother, more refined odor. This is due to several minor constituents being at slightly different levels. Peppermint Western U.S. has a higher menthol content (desirable, as this is the main therapeutic constituent) and a lower pulegone content (also desirable, as this is a less pleasant constituent).
Peppermint is stimulating, and when diffused can help uplift the spirit and enhance alertness. It can also relieve the discomfort of an upset tummy, and support healthy digestive and respiratory systems. Because of its higher menthol content, Peppermint has a cooling effect which can help when you are feeling under the weather and is also great for discomfort. Add well-diluted to a carrier oil for an uplifting massage. Add a couple of drops of peppermint to some distilled water or witch hazel and shake well for a cooling spray during menopausal “power surges” (please avoid spraying around the eyes).
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

Ms

Smells and behaves like I expect peppermint oil to do. Shipping was very fast, professional packaging, and I was pleased with product performance in solutions, such as wasp killing solution. I had wasps under clapboard trim on porch near front door. Also feral cats visit so could not use any poisons. I get sick using insecticides every time. So soap and peppermint oil was what I used and it greatly reduced their numbers...other peppermint oil was not effective. This one is.

Great Peppermint

I researched peppermint oils before making this purchase. There are websites that state what the chemical composition of the oil should be within ranges. In the test that they conducted, many big name brands failed. The test report for this oil was almost entirely within the appropriate ranges. It smells like peppermint, and is significantly more realistic than another product I had that smelled more like candy.
