Peppermint is a perennial herb that grows widely in Europe, North America, and Asia. This leafy plant grows close to the ground and produces smooth, dark green leaves with clusters of small pinkish lavender flowers.

Originating in India, Peppermint has been used for centuries for its revitalizing properties. Steam distilled from the leaves of the mint plant, Peppermint Essential Oil creates a strong aromatic scent that has a fresh, cool, grassy-minty smell. This scent is invigorating to the senses that promotes energy and alertness. Peppermint is a refreshing and stimulating oil that is both soothing and enlightening.

Peppermint Essential Oil has a cooling effect on the skin that is revitalizing and wonderful to the touch, due to its menthol content. With many amazing uses for this essential oil, Peppermint is a valuable addition to any oil collection.
Peppermint can be diluted in carrier oil and applied to the temples and back of the neck when having head and neck tension. Add, well-diluted, to a carrier oil for an uplifting massage. It is also helpful to sniff when having a queasy stomach. Also useful at the end of a long day as a foot-soak, add a few drops to ½ cup of epsom salt dissolved in warm water.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  One of my favorites

This is by far one of my favorite oils. I use peppermint oil in my oil face wash and love just smelling it by itself. I have always loved anything peppermint and this is SO enjoyable. Unfortunately, it is not kidsafe so I can\'t use it as much as I would like but I have it in several personal inhalers. It\'s great for when I work out too!

5.0 5  saved me

I have had several sinus infections and have allergy and sinus problems often. But this infection I have this time is the worse. But I used peppermint by itself yesterday and peppermint and lavender last night and i feel better today. So glad I already have a new bottle on hand I am going to need it.

5.0 5  One of our favorites!

Oh my! Love this oil! Scent is clean and lively without an \"icky sweet\" smell. Our family uses Plant Therapy Peppermint to help keep fevers down, muscle aches and to help keep bugs and mice away. Love the fresh and energizing smell!
