The powerful scent of Chamomile German (Blue) is widely known for its calming properties and may be helpful to children who have problems with focus.  It is also an excellent soother of congested skin and can be used in blends to assist with seasonal pollen threats.
It is one of our very favorite oils in a milk or salt bath. Add a few drops of Chamomile German to 1 ounce of milk or 1 teaspoon carrier oil; add this mix to ½ cup of Epsom salts and gently swirl in the water for a warm, relaxing bath.

To ease occasional muscle and joint discomfort associated with aging or normal wear and tear, add equal amounts of Chamomile German, Chamomile Roman and Peppermint to your favorite carrier oil and gently massage into problem areas.

For topical applications, dilute to 1% for face and 2-3% for body.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

Strong odor

The scent of German chamomile is said to be strong, pleasant - even sweet - scent, but this is not at all what we are experiencing with our recent purchase. Since it is recommended/used in a number of children's blends, is there another scent (essential oil) that will mask or tame its potent smell? Have others experienced this as well?

Icky, I just got mine in the mail yesterday and it didn't seem to click on the lid when I opened it so maybe it is old or just really stinky? The smell triggers a vomit effect for me. Is this normal? Or should I return the product? Thank you for your advice.

Don't Like the Smell

I got this instead of Roman because my husband wanted it for a skin issue. I have used it on acne and it really does work but the smell is like stale popcorn. Not a fan and I won't be diffusing it anytime soon. Haven't used it alot so not sure what else it will help with.
