Marjoram Sweet product sheet

Like many of the herb and spice oils, Marjoram is calming and warming and can help encourage relaxation before sleep. When suffering from the symptoms of common seasonal illnesses, Marjoram can provide comfort. Using Marjoram in Evening Primrose oil can be smoothed over the abdomen to provide relief from discomfort due to menstrual pain. We also recommend sweet marjoram in a blend massaged onto the legs to help soothe muscle tissues before sleep.
For seasonal illness, add 2-3 of drops of marjoram to 1 ounce of milk or 1 teaspoon carrier oil, then add this to ½ cup of Epsom salts in a warm bath to help relieve symptoms. Add marjoram to a carrier oil or lotion to relieve occasional tired, sore muscles such as after a strenuous workout or to relieve the discomfort suffered during the menstrual cycle.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  Good addition

The oil smells good, blends well with so many other oils for a variety in the cornerstone oils I always use.

5.0 5  In love with the scent!

I've been seeing so many "recipes" that I would be interested in with this oil in it. That is the main reason I bought this oil. I am so glad I did. I am in love with the scent!

4.0 5  Earthy & Spicy

I'm a big fan of Marjoram, preferably Sweet. I've tried other brands, and find Plant Therapy's is very good. At first smell, it comes off more medicinal (I prefer one that's a bit more "sweet", hence the 4-stars). It's fresh and outdoorsy. I like it for diffusing (adding a citrus blend or lavender), also for making a natural room spray, and adding to my unscented laundry detergent. It has a natural "sanitizing" factor. A naturalist told me it could help my body rash, mixed with jojoba or grapeseed oil, use as "medicine" to kill off the bacteria without using toxic chemical lotions. I mix it in my shampoo too. Overall, it's a great addition to my collection.

4.0 5  Good, but not as sweet

I grow marjoram and it is one of my favorite herbs, especially the delicious smell. This oil is not quite as delicious, delicate, and sweet smelling as the real plant, but it is good.

4.0 5  Good for pain and sleep

I've used this in a "morphine bomb" pain blend with lemongrass and frankincense that helped take the edge off my bone pain while on chemo. Additionally, one of my favorite sleep blends is marjoram with bergamot and vetiver. While I haven't used it as much for day use in the diffuser, it certainly has been helpful for more medicinal purposes!
