Lavandin essential oil, while similar to Lavender, is not a “true” lavender. It is a cross between lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) which grows at higher altitudes and spike lavender (Lavandula latifolia) which grows lower on the hillsides. It has a very sweet and floral aroma similar to "true" Lavender.
When added to a carrier, Lavandin can help reduce the appearance of scarring, stretch marks and other skin issues. Lavandin also is a great oil for supporting the respiratory system, especially during times of seasonal illness. Diffuse equal parts Lavandin and Fir Needle to help congested breathing.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  A little less sharp than the Bulgarian Lavender

While I love the Bulgarian lavender I get from PT, sometimes the scent is a bit too sharp. The smell of lavandin is a bit more...round, I guess? I'm not really sure how to describe it, but I think I prefer it to the regular lavender I got from PT. I'd say it's a tie between lavandin and lavender fine in terms of aroma for me, although they do smell differently. So I'd say if you don't care much for lavender and don't want to spend the extra amount on lavender fine, give lavandin a shot. :)

5.0 5  Lavandin

I originally ordered the organic lavender but I wasn’t too fond of it. This oil however is lovelyyyy!! Blends so well with many different oils!

4.0 5  Slightly disappointed but still happy with the product

I love this oil. It's like a sweeter, more floral and herbaceous version of lavender. However, it's not very strong and the scent doesn't last very long when applied topically. It doesn't seem to last longer than 15-20 minutes. I'm not even going to try diffusing this oil because I probably won't be able to smell it. But it is still very useful and in my experience, it seems to have stronger calming effects and helps with acne and skin problems more than lavender (remember to always dilute it before applying it to your face!)

4.0 5  Love the scent

I used this in my 2 year old's bath when she was sick to help her sleep better at night. I love the scent and the calming effect it had.

5.0 5  Much better

Lavender is NOT my favorite scent but it has amazing qualities so I use a lot of it. It’s calming and soothing. It goes my my body care and chapsticks as well as diffuser. But Plant Therapy’s lavender has a much better smell then one of the more expensive ones I was using.
