It’s day 1 of Earth week, and want to save money, time driving, and energy? We’ve talked about why sustainability is so important to Plant Therapy before, and how you can start your journey towards greener, non-toxic living. Today we’re starting with saving energy!
Check out this DIY for making your own natural sugar scrub.
DIY your beauty products.
You ran out of your fav beauty product, better run out and grab some more, right? There’s a better way! So many beauty and bath products can be done by DIY at home, using all-natural ingredients. This means that not only are you not using that extra energy driving to the store, but you can feel great about what you’re putting on your skin.
DIY Natural Sugar Scrub
What you’ll need:
- 2 oz Melt & Pour Soap Base
- 1 oz (Solid) Coconut Oil
- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 39 drops Steam Distilled Lime essential oil
What you’ll do:
Put the soap base and coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 15-30 seconds until melted. Add 39 drops of Steam Distilled Lime and mix well. Add sugar and mix to incorporate. It will begin to harden fast. Microwave for just 10-15 second more and pour into a mold of your choice. Spray with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles.
We’re not done yet!
