These fun lip balms and scrubs are so amazing since they can be customized for your gift giving needs. They are PERFECT as a stocking stuff, teacher gift, or a little something to add to a gift basket! Join me as we learn how to make them:
What you’ll need:
For the lip scrub {recipe for one circular container} To make more than one, multiply by number of tins.
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp jojoba or grapeseed
- 6 drops essential oil of your choice
For the lip balm {recipe for 3 tubes or 1 circular tin} To make more than that, please multiply by number of items you wan to make.
- 1 tsp beeswax pastilles
- 1 tsp shea butter
- 1 tsp solid coconut oil
- 3 drops essential oils of your choice
What you’ll do:
For the lip scrub
- Mix ingredients together in a small bowl with a skewer or glass staring rod
- Transfer to tins
For the lip balm
- Place beeswax, shea butter, and coconut oil in a glass bowl set over a pan of simmering water {double boiler}
- Heat until melted
- Once melted, stir in essential oils
- Pour into tins or tubes
- Allow to cool before capping
Scent combinations for you:
For lip scrub:
- Use peppermint for a fresh, minty tingle
- Use sweet orange for a fruity scent
- Use silky soft for encouraging healthy soft lips
For lip balm:
- Tooty-Fruity lips: 1 drop each orange, grapefruit, and lemon
- Silky Soft: 3 drops silky soft
- Minty Fresh: 3 drops peppermint
