Dill Weed
Dill is so much more than just a great addition to any herb garden. This amazing essential oil is best known for its ability to help calm an upset stomach, especially when it comes as a result of seasonal illness.
But Dill also has a rich history and many other amazing benefits. In ancient Greek and Roman Cultures, Dill was seen as a sign of wealth. Soldiers would apply it to their wounds to help promote healing. The Conqueror Charlemagne used to provide Dill on his tables to help those guests who may have indulged in a bit too much food at his banquets.
It also has many uses outside of digestive support. It is helpful with head tension, eases symptoms associated with a normal menstrual cycle, and encourages restful sleep. Dill helps to calm, balance emotions, ground, and promote emotional harmony.

Rosemary
Rosemary is an incredibly versatile and useful essential oil. It is often used in hair care to help prevent hair loss, promote hair growth and improve scalp problems. It nourishes the scalp and keeps hair looking healthy and shiny. Rosemary oil is said to have antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. Plus it is used to balance intense emotions and help to control mood swings. It lifts the spirits, counters feeling blue, and helps avoid stress.
Invigorating blend
- 3-4 drops Rosemary and 4-6 drops Pink Grapefruit in the diffuser is fantastic for an afternoon blend. It’s centering yet invigorating.
Healthy hair
- Add 1 drop of Rosemary to your quarter-sized amount of shampoo 2-3 times a week. This is very invigorating as Rosemary helps stimulate blood flow to the scalp.

Sweet Orange
Sweet Orange essential oil is a wonderful oil to enjoy all year long. In the spring, it reminds us of fresh new beginnings. In the summer, it is the quintessential sunshine scent. By fall, combined with Cinnamon and Clove Bud, it reminds us of the holidays. Finally, in the winter, it can be a bright spot during cold evenings.
My all-time favorite way to use Orange Sweet is to combine it with Vanilla and use it in the bath. This smells just like a creamsicle and is the yummiest smelling bath! Try it and enjoy feeling emotionally uplifted and completely chill when you get out of the tub.

Cinnamon Leaf
Cinnamon Leaf is a favorite scent for so many people. It brings to mind winter, the holidays or baking in the kitchen.
Cinnamon Leaf is less harsh than Cinnamon Bark and can be used on the skin. However, use caution and dilute to no more than 0.6% for use on the skin. Diffusing this oil, while wonderful, should also be used with caution, especially around younger children.
Cinnamon Leaf, Cinnamomum verum, is true cinnamon. It is also from an evergreen tree native to Sri Lanka. Steam distilled from the leaves of this evergreen, Cinnamon Leaf essential oil has been used as an anti-inflammatory and local anesthetic for many years. It is very therapeutic and if used in the right dilution, can be an effective essential oil for acne, chronic pain, and inflammation. Cinnamon Leaf is also considered a great oil to ease the symptoms of cold and flu. Diffuse in the air to help combat sickness.
Chronic pain
- Combine Cinnamon Leaf and Clove Bud at 0.6% dilution in your favorite carrier oil to help with chronic pain.
Scent a room
- Add a few drops of Cinnamon Leaf to a dish of pines cones or potpourri to scent a small room (like your guest bathroom) during the holidays! *Use caution with small children, please.
A lovely diffuser blend
- Use 2 drops Cinnamon Leaf, 4 drops Vanilla and 2 drops Orange in your diffuser for a lovely autumn scent!
Aches and pains
- Using Cinnamon Leaf in DIY Salve and use on chronic aches and pains. Be sure to keep the dilution below 0.6% to ensure safety for your skin!
