Product Brochure:

Pup and Pony Product Sheet

Just like humans, dogs and horses can develop fear and anxiety disorders after a traumatic experience. Trauma is especially common in rescue animals but can also occur during events we may not consider challenging, such as forced weaning, continuous use of ill-fitting tack, etc. This blend helps to calm and comfort animals while supporting their emotional healing process.

While Horse Whisperer was created specifically with horses in mind, it is also safe and effective for dogs who may struggle with similar issues.

Diffuse using 1-2 drops per 100 mL of water for 5-10 minutes every few hours. Passive diffusion is also a great option.

For topical application dilute to 0.25-2% depending on the weight and species of your animal. Apply the diluted blend to the upper inner foreleg, chest, or back of the neck.

When using essential oils with animals it is important to create a positive association with the oil. You can do this by applying the oil to yourself for the first few days of usage. This will allow your animal to begin to associate the blend with his/her person. When you are ready to apply the blend to your animal or begin active diffusion you can reinforce the positive experience by doing something they love, like giving them their favorite treat or using a massage application before bedtime.

This blend is intended for use with dogs and horses only. Do not diffuse around or use this blend topically on cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, etc.

Horse Whisperer Linen Spray

What you'll need:
  • 18-36 drops of Horse Whisperer
  • 1.5 ounces of water
  • 0.5 ounces of everclear
  • Empty spray bottle
What you'll do:
Measure out water and everclear in separate measuring cups. Mix essential oils into everclear and then add water in slowly. Pour into an empty spray bottle. Spray a horse’s linens or a dog’s bed lightly and allow to dry.

*Note: Everclear is used in this recipe to allow the essential oils to emulsify properly and to help with preservation. If you do not want to use everclear then an emulsifier and preservative would be necessary. Allow linens to dry before bedtime. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Peel Oil, Cedrus Deodara (Himalayan Cedarwood) Wood Oil, Boswellia Carterii (Frankincense) Gum Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile) Flower Oil, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Neroli) Flower Oil

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that essential oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a medical doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Bottles are filled by volume. Some bottle sizes may not be filled to the top, but do contain the volume of oil specified.

3.0 5  Not a fit for my K9

I’m so excited that PT has introduced this new line & I purchased Horse Whisperer as soon as it came out (as part of a 3-Oil kit), hoping to help with my dog’s separation anxiety (stemming from abuse and 4 homes by the age if 11 months). I so greatly appreciate the “instructions” that come with the oils, explaining how to introduce a new oil to your pets. I’m mainly writing this review to help others see how important it is to follow these steps. As instructed, I applied the oil diluted on my hands, introducing them to my dog during a low-stress time. He immediately raised his lip one one side, which I’ve never seen him do aside from growling, and turned his head away from me. I repeated this a few days later, with same results. I then tried with only carrier oil and he had no response. Again, later that week, with the oil - he reacted to it again. It was clear to me that my dog is not okay with this blend. I still am giving it 4 stars because I wouldn’t knock any other oil just because I didn’t enjoy the scent. What doesn’t work for my dog may still be great for another K9 or horse. I know PT offers satisfaction-guaranteed free-returns, but fortunately, I do enjoy the scent myself, and will plan to use it in my own diffuser necklace. I’m planning to look at the individual oils in the blend, to hopefully identify which oil my K9 dislikes, and likely will give Confident K9 a try next.

5.0 5  I use it for myself

I introduced my dogs to this by rubbing diluted onto my hands and allowing them so smell it. One of my dogs is a pretty anxious one, but she seemed calm when I approached her. They seem to like the smell. I love it, too and diffuse it quite a lot to calm myself down.

5.0 5  My mare love's it!

My 27 year old Arab mare absolutely loves this oil. I had brought this oil to the barn just to see how she would react to it. I diluted the oil and rubbed it into my own hands and offered to let her smell them. WipeOut kept going back and forth from her feed to my hands. She would breath deeply and linger over my hands with the oil on it before going to snatch a quick bite of her food and come right back to smell the oil some more. I look forward to trying the rest of the pup & pony oils with the rest of my Pup's & Ponies, thanks PT!
