Get Em Gone Product Sheet

Keep your children free from the telltale, constant scalp-scratching we have all come to dread with Get 'Em Gone. Using essential oils known to effectively clean the hair and scalp to stop the itch, this powerful synergy removes the problem at its source without using harmful toxic chemicals.

This essential oil synergy is part of Plant Therapy's KidSafe line and is the only product of its kind formulated by Robert Tisserand, a world-renowned expert in essential oil safety.

All of the oils in Get 'Em Gone are 100% natural, gentle, and safe to use on children ages 2-10.

To learn more about our Get 'Em Gone blend's uses and benefits, check out our Get 'Em Gone blend essential oil spotlight blog post.

Add 7 drops of Get 'Em Gone to one teaspoon of shampoo, and thoroughly massage into your child's hair and scalp. Use a fine-toothed comb to spread the shampoo, let sit in hair for 15 minutes, then rinse and repeat if necessary.

Alternatively, add 2% of Get 'Em Gone and 1% Polysorbate or Solubol to 4 oz. of water, shake liberally to mix, then spray your child's hair and scalp each morning. Don't rinse, but let hair dry and keep the mixture on all day. This may also be used for prevention when children have friends or classmates with unusually itchy scalps.

*Plant Therapy recommends using an emulsifier, such as Polysorbate or Solubol, when blending any essential oils with water.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that essential oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a medical doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Bottles are filled by volume. Some bottle sizes may not be filled to the top, but do contain the volume of oil specified.

5.0 5  Lives up to its name!

I bought Get ‘Em Gone with plans to use it as a preventative - which I failed to keep up with and I noticed one of my children itching their scalp like crazy a few days ago. Turns out two of my long haired girls have lice. I will not use the drug store remedies with their icky ingredients so I added about a 1% dilution to vegetable oil to soak in their hair for an hour and added about a .5% dilution to their shampoo, then made a spray with vinegar with about a .5% dilution as well, blow their hair in hopes the heat would get anything that was left and a few days later I couldn’t find a single lice lice or egg on either of their heads! As a plus, their hair is now super soft, silky and healthy looking!

5.0 5  Works Great!

We had some fleas in the house because of our dogs coming in and out, and I sprayed this in the living room and bedroom where they sleep and there are no more fleas! (I wouldn't put this on my pets though, the tea tree oil in this isn't safe for dogs. We took care of that a different way 😊)

4.0 5  Oops...but still like the oil!

So I’m embarrassed to admit that I rushed through reading the description of this blend and purchased it thinking that it was for dandruff. I decided to add it to my shampoo when I got it, even though I had figured out that it wasn’t what I was initially looking for. I felt like it helped clean my scalp really well and my dandruff has been at bay for three days now (usually it creeps up the day after I wash my hair). The citronella smell is very strong but faded quickly after I dried my hair. I’m going to try this in a bug repellent spray as well. Will write another review if it works for that too!

We had a rough go with lice recently and wish I'd discovered this blend sooner!

5.0 5  Daughter loves this

My daughter is a little OCD about things. Life being the current obsession. Putting this in her shampoo has helped immensely. She loves the smell!!
