Frankincense Serrata essential oil, also known as Olibanum, is steam distilled from the gum resin of the tree. It has been used for thousands of years by native peoples as an incense, medicine, and in cosmetics.
For a blend that will help promote clear breathing, add 3 drops Frankincense Serrata, 2 drops Eucalyptus Globulus, 1 drop Rosemary, and 1 drop Spruce or Fir Needle in the diffuser. Frankincense Serrata is highly prized as a meditative, mind-clearing oil, so for a supportive blend add 4 drops Frankincense Serrata, 3 drops Sandalwood, and 1 drop of Cedarwood, Cypress, or Patchouli to a diffuser.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  Good Oil

When I diffuse this it makes me feel like I am at Christmas Mass. It smells just like the Frankincense they burn in church. I\'ve used it in a few blends and it adds a nice note without being too overpowering.

5.0 5  A Must For Any Essential Oil Collection

This is one of those oils you need to have on hand. I love it. My favorite use is for the skin. I add it to anything I make for my face; facial serum, wash, toner, etc. I also love it, along with Lavender, for wound/ burn care. The scent is sharp, fresh, and slightly woody. I kind of like it, though it\'s not in a I-love-this-so-much-I-want-to-diffuse-it sort of smell. It\'s pleasant in a healthy, medicinal sort of way. It\'s grown on me.

recommend  Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

5.0 5  A must for anti-inflammation

I have an autoimmune disease that causes joint pain when the disease is out of remission. I started using frankincense at the recommendation from a friend, whose dad uses it for rheumatoid arthritis pain. When used faithfully, it really helps reduce the inflammation and ease the pain. I have started mixing it with equal parts carteri and frereana, for a super frankincense mix. After equal parts of all three, add to your favorite carrier oil and rub on all areas where you are experiencing inflammation and pain, 3-5 times a day. Again, faithful use is a must to see benefits.

recommend  Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
