Chances are you’ve seen the horrifying images on the news of bushfires sweeping across Australia. The recent droughts have only exacerbated the problem. To date, over 15.6 million acres have burned, 25 people have lost their lives, 2,000 homes have been destroyed and an estimated 1 billion animals have been killed. And unless the fires are brought under control, these numbers will only get worse.

The Beauty of Australia
Australia is a unique and amazing country that has so much to offer the world.
It is home to 24.6 million people, most of whom live in the coastal areas which have experienced the worst effects of the fire. The population includes the indigenous First Australians who have inhabited the land for 50,000 years.
Australia also boasts rich and diverse wildlife including dozens of species that are unique to that country: kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, dingos, and wombats, just to name a few. It has given us such landmarks as Uluru, the Sydney Opera House, the Outback and the Great Barrier Reef.
Australia has also given us the immense entertaining talents of Chris, Liam and Luke Hemsworth, Nicole Kidman, Baz Lurhman, Hugh Jackman, Cate Blanchett, and Kylie Minogue. And it also brought us the joy and charisma of Steve Irwin and his family. His wife and children continue to carry on his legacy of wildlife conservation and preservation.
All of us in the essential oil community know all too well how many valuable essential oils are found there. Where would be without the amazing respiratory benefits of Eucalyptus, Rosalina, Lemon Myrtle, and Balm Mint Bush? And what about the incredibly calming notes of Australian Sandalwood, Blue Cypress, and Buddha Wood? And of course, one of the most popular oils, Tea Tree, comes to us from Australia. It, along with Kunzea and Lemon Tea Tree, helps clean the air, skin, and even surfaces. These oils are an irreplaceable part of any essential oil collection.
This is merely a taste of the many incredible contributions Australia makes to the world.
Above all, our hearts are with Australia. We hope that you will join us in supporting them in their time of need.
