Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil is often considered a milder eucalyptus because it is slightly “smoother” than Eucalyptus Globulus and has a somewhat softer odor. It has many of the same properties as Eucalyptus Globulus and they are often combined to help support a healthy respiratory system and to ease breathing. For more ideas on how to use Eucalyptus Radiata, please see Eucalyptus Globulus.
Eucalyptus Radiata can be used in the same way as Eucalyptus Globulus and can be combined together for ultimate benefits. Diffuse into the air to help support easier breathing. Adding a couple of drops to an inhaler can help as an afternoon “pick-me-up”.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

Milder eucalyptus with power

This is my go to oil for congestion. Whether diffusing, using in breathing blends, or inhalers, I use this year round.

Eucalyptus Radiata is my current favorite oil. It is fabulous for skin issues like itchy insect bites and scrapes and scratches. It heals, takes away redness, and stops itching very quickly. I also really enjoy inhaling it to help with allergy symptoms, and besides all that, it just makes me happy to smell, so I put it in my aromatherapy inhaler. This is going to be a staple in my cupboard for a long time!

I love Eucalyptus, but had no previous experience with this particular variety. What a treat! The description is entirely accurate. It has a softer, more pleasant scent than the regular Eucalyptus. I love to blend this equally with Ravintsara and add a drop of Roman Chamomile. I put epsom salt in a glass bottle, add several drops of the essential oil blend, and inhale when I am having trouble with sinus pressure. This has been especially useful during flights - clear sinuses means less pressure in your ears! Plant Therapy's product is amazing and blends well with other oils.
