Elemi Essential Oil Product Sheet

Elemi Oil, a relative of Frankincense and Myrrh, has been cherished for centuries for its ability to rejuvenate and restore healthy skin.

This oil is steam distilled from the resin of the elemi tree, which is native to the Philippines. It has a pleasant, tangy-sweet aroma with musky undertones.

In addition to supporting young-looking skin, Elemi Oil has wonderful aromatherapy applications and is known to be grounding and balancing, thus making it a useful oil for meditation. Elemi Oil can also help soothe overexerted muscles after exercising or a long, stressful day.

To create a powerful anti-aging blend, add 2 drops each of Elemi Oil, Lavender and Neroli to 4 teaspoons of a skin-supporting carrier oil such as Rosehip or Meadowfoam.

To relieve sore muscles, blend a few drops of Elemi Oil with a carrier oil and massage into affected areas. You can also diffuse Elemi Oil for 30 minutes during meditation or yoga practice.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  Attractive, modern, complex yet clean

My favorite oil and I thought I'd met my match already with PT's Frankincense Carteri CO2. I saw this after an hour perusing through the "bestsellers" and surprised it wasn't on the first page despite its new status--as if my obsession meant others were on the same page. Being a new oil I might have ignored it except it was listed as a related product to something else I liked. I even ordered it along with upgrading my Frankincense subscription to the bigger bottle. This sort of scent requires the olfactory discernment of a sommelier, which I am not. I am also fairly new as an essential oil fanatic. Suffice to say this oil is in my purse always. It made it to the selects of what I have to have on me and my purse has limited real estate especially for the 30ml I got. It also became the oil I chose for my hand sanitizer and the one I let friends try after the Frankincense, to compare the reactions to inform my product-making. For a busy day around the city, I prefer to wear this. It is grounding as they described--not sedate or peaced out--a composed natural modernity that matches the flow of whatever you're doing. I noticed I use it more when in new situations or where I have to "be somebody" like the opposite of slovenly or average. I think pleasant is accurate though broad for the specific way it is pleasing. It is individual without being egotistical, that is, it has a minimalist subdued exoticism compared to the warmer assertions of Frankincense's "specialness". (A relative term, hence in quotes, in hopes ppl understand. also I refer to Plant Therapy's Frankincense CO2 as I've tried a few other brands that do not have that special thing going on so idk what's up with that). Plus I think it works for skin. I admit I used it raw to double as hand sanitizer and instant sophistication/prep before meetings. I run some through my hair as well. maybe it's an armor. It has a protective feel in contrast to the gregarious Frankincense. I guess that's the "meditation" aspect they describe above. Last point, it has a sharpness if used as respiratory. It clears although not as well as Frankincense. I use it to smooth out the camphorous oils like rosemary etc. Its slight spiciness is a leveller --maybe that's the balancing part they mentioned! Interesting. This is my first review here so forgive the blatant idolatry ;-)
