Decalepis hamiltonii, also known as Vanipotent, has a sweet gourmand and vanilla-like scent that is lovely for
yumming-up any essential oil blend. Decalepis hamiltonii is a climbing shrub with aromatic tuberous roots found in the
southern parts of India. This plant prefers to grow around rocky slopes, boulders, and rocky crevices where there is
thick vegetation at high altitudes. Because this plant grows in such difficult to reach places, Decalepis has to be
manually harvested and is mainly cultivated by Tribes in South India. Decalepis is one of the important plants in the
Indian Ayurvedic system of medicine. Decalepis is great for stomach concerns and to stimulate the appetite. Decalepis is
also great for helping calm nerves and promotes relaxation. NOTE: Like other absolutes, Decalepis hamiltonii can become
solid at temperatures below 72 degrees. If this happens, simply warm it in your hands or place it in an airtight plastic
bag and submerge in warm water.
Aromatic - Diffuse using 3-4 drops per 100 mL of water or use in a personal inhaler. Topical - Dilute to 1-2% in a carrier.
