We recommend a maximum dilution of 0.05% for topical applications. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

A close relative of true cinnamon, cassia essential oil has a spicy scent which is reminiscent of winter holidays. Scent some homemade pine cone potpourri with cassia, sweet orange, and coriander essential oils. A drop of Cassia essential oil can also be diffused with equal parts of Clove Bud and Sweet Orange to bring back holiday memories. Cassia essential oil is sometimes used as part of a topically applied warming blend, but great care must be taken as this is an oil which can easily irritate skin.
In healthy adults with intact skin who wish to use cassia as part of a warming blend, dip a toothpick into the bottle through the orifice reducer and then remove, swirling the toothpick in 1 ounce of carrier oil; this is all that is needed for a safe dilution; add 3 drops of sweet orange and 2 drops of black pepper or coriander essential oils to complete the blend.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

overpowering

I dont enjoy the smell, which is weird bc my favorite scents are usually warm, autumn- type scents. This doesnt smell like a warm, inviting cinnamon. It is just a weird overpowering smell. I put one single drop in a blend of about 10 drops total and all I smell is the cinnamon. As the previous reviewer said, I would return it but I received it in a kit. Bummer, because I have enjoyed every other PT oil thus far.

This oil is super strong

It's extremely irritating to my throat when diffused. In blends, it eats my other oils. I would return it if it hadn't come as part of a kit.
