If you're going for true cinnamon scent, then spring for the Cinnamon Bark. This cassia has a spicy cinnamon-y aroma, but nowhere near as nice as the bark. I use this in a warming muscle blend, and for that it's perfect!

I dont enjoy the smell, which is weird bc my favorite scents are usually warm, autumn- type scents. This doesnt smell like a warm, inviting cinnamon. It is just a weird overpowering smell. I put one single drop in a blend of about 10 drops total and all I smell is the cinnamon. As the previous reviewer said, I would return it but I received it in a kit. Bummer, because I have enjoyed every other PT oil thus far.

This is not the same as cinnamon bark, so be aware that just because it says cinnamon does not mean it is equal. Cassia has a strong spicy scent that seems to burn the senses more than indulge them. It is cheaper than cinnamon bark for a reason! If it was not part of a package I would have returned it, just like the other reviewers.

It's extremely irritating to my throat when diffused. In blends, it eats my other oils. I would return it if it hadn't come as part of a kit.
