Cedarwood Texas Product Sheet

Cedarwood Texas Essential Oil originates in the United States and is extracted using steam distillation. Cedarwood Texas is grown wildly throughout the Southwestern United States. There is no commercial planting, therefore no pesticides or fungicides, or any other agricultural chemicals are used or present in the recovery of Cedarwood Texas. It has a sweet, soft, balsamic wood scent and belongs to the Juniper family. The aroma of Cedarwood Texas can help freshen a room, promote calmness, and help ward off negative thoughts. Use Cedarwood Texas to support a healthy immune system. Add to a personal inhaler or diffuser to help during times of seasonal threats. It can help keep pesky summer annoyances away, create a natural perfume for soaps and lotions, and even skin tone.
During times of seasonal threats or lack of energy use the following blend to support a healthy immune system: 2 drops each of Cedarwood Texas, Vetiver, Ho Wood, Orange Sweet, and Lavender. Add to a personal inhaler or to your Plant Therapy AromaFuse Diffuser.

Dilute to 1-3% in your favorite soap or lotion for a natural perfume that smells amazing. Diffuse during summer gatherings to help with outdoor annoyances. For the face, dilute to 0.5-1% using Plant Therapy's Near Perfection carrier oil blend to help even and tone skin after cleaning.

4.0 5  It works

While I am not fond of the smell, I do like this oil. It helps me to relax, wind down, and get to sleep at night. I pair it with Lavender for a more pleasant aroma. It doesn't stink, but it isn't the sweeter aroma that I was used to from a different company. I would buy this again.

5.0 5  Sweet, calming scent

This is my new favorite oil! It was recommended to me by Plant Therapy's customer service after I ordered Cedarwood Atlas and hated that one. Cedarwood Texas definitely does not have the cat urine smell of Cedarwood Atlas. I love diffusing this one at night and even just smelling it right from the bottle. It also worked quickly on my son's itchy eczema rash. The rash disappeared within a couple of hours. I'm already planning on ordering a bigger size!

4.0 5  Smells like pencil shavings from cheap pencils.

I was debating on whether to give this Cedarwood Texas essential oil 3 or 4 stars, but my issue is more with the listing information than with the oil. If the description would of been more like the description of another Cedarwood oil(and more accurate in my opinion) I would of never purchased it. "Cedarwood Virginian is actually a species of Juniper tree, as reflected in its Latin name. It has an aroma similar to a freshly sharpened pencil,..." - PlantTherapy.I can't say if it works for it's intended purposes because the smell is one I can not be around for long. It is a very adorable oil. It is not a bad smell, but it reminds me of opening a big metal pencil sharpener at school full of very dry shavings from inexpensive pencils. The kind of pencils that leave shavings that look more like splinters than ribbons. Every time I opened the bottle to smell it my arms would get itchy. I know it's purely psychological but without fail smelling it from the bottle or a cloth makes my arms itchy. Today I decided to be "brave" and diffused it, 1 drop Cedarwood Texas 4 drops Orange. Within a minute I was itchy all over. Turned the diffuser off and tried again about an hour later and had the same results. The longer it was on the itchier I became.I was hoping for the cedar chest smell, even cedarwood pet bedding shavings, but this is nothing like I expected. Others mentioned it Smells like walking through a forest, or a saw mill, but to me it smells like very dry, very inexpensive brittle wood/pencil shavings.Like I said before, I don't know if it works or not, but if you don't mind very dry wood shavings then $10 for an ounce is a good price. But don't expect it to smell like a Cedar closet.
