Cardamom Essential Oil has a sweet, spicy scent that will be familiar to those who are accustomed to Cardamom in (often Asian) cuisine. This powerful oil is well-known for calming the respiratory and digestive systems and can often provide relief to those who struggle on boats or long car rides. As a traditional “warming” oil, Cardamom is stimulating and uplifting. It can assist with the occasional case of a low mood and is sometimes used to enhance romantic desire.

To learn more about our Cardamom's uses and benefits, check out our Cardamom essential oil spotlight blog post.

To soothe upsets during car rides or other motion, use Cardamom Essential Oil in a portable diffuser or in an inhaler.

Diffuse in the home with Lemon or Bergamot oils for an uplifting and stimulating atmosphere.

For adults, dilute to 2-5% for topical application.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  Cardamon!

I like using cardamon both for respiratory (esp cough) and for stomach. I just read the blog and will be making a roller bottle with the mix of cardamon , ginger, and peppermint for road trips that involve any winding or hilly driving to prevent motion sickness.
