It may still be chilly outside, but March marks the time of year when our thoughts turn to Spring. Thanks to Daylight Saving Time, or DST, many of us are going to be enjoying more sunshine in the evening, and soon, those long summer nights. Spring DST does have a notable drawback, though – on Sunday, March 11 at 2 a.m. local time, clocks will move one hour ahead. That means one less hour of wonderful sleep to prepare us for the upcoming Monday. Let’s take a look at what you can do to seamlessly transition into DST with the help of some amazing essential oils!
While losing an hour of sleep may not seem like such a big deal, this slightly annoying adjustment can really affect your body’s internal 24-hour clock, or circadian rhythm. Since light is our body’s principal time cue, when the amount of light we experience during the day suddenly changes, our body clock goes out of sync.
