Balsam Fir Product Template Sheet

Balsam Fir oil is steam distilled from the needles of Balsam Fir trees. It has a distinctively woodsy aroma that conjures up the scent of the great outdoors as well as the winter holiday season. While Balsam Fir makes a wonderful addition to holiday blends, it also has many year-round uses. With an uplifting yet soothing effect, Balsam Fir is an excellent oil for calming muscles and joints after a long day or intense workout. When diffused or applied topically to the chest, this oil can help support a healthy respiratory system. Additionally, Balsam Fir is cherished by many for its emotional balancing effects.
For muscle relief after a strenuous exercise, dilute to 2-5% in a carrier oil of your choice and massage into the affected areas. Alternatively, you can add a few drops to your favorite unscented lotion. For respiratory distress, diffuse Balsam Fir oil, apply diluted to your chest or add a few drops to a warm bath.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

Fantastic smell

I love this oil. I use it in my diffuser and I can't wait to come up with some holiday blends to use this with.

Smells like a fresh forest after it rains

I have a bottle of balsam fir room spray that I've been in love with for years so I was really excited to try this out. I'm very picky when it comes to the perfect essential oil "christmas tree scent". While this oil does not smell like the spray I have been using, it does smell very woodsy and christmasy. It's what I would call a "warm" scent meaning it is a thicker scent than other tree oils (in my opinion). I think this would definitely work if you're looking for a more "manly" scent than traditional oils. As weird as it sounds, this oil smells like a wet fir/pine forest. Smelling it straight from the bottle is pretty strong and overpowering, but give it a try in a diffuser (or whatever you prefer to use it for) and the scent will transform. I'm very excited to diffuse it during the winter as I think it will add a nice holiday vibe to my apartment, but I will say that this is not the exact christmas tree scent I've been looking for. I think it will mix well with pine and even cinnamon or clove in the diffuser.

I'm so happy Plant Therapy is now offering Balsam Fir. I received this w few days ago and absolutely love the scent. Comparing to another brand I own, this oil has such a bright Christmas scent. Enjoying using this on my sore muscles!
