Botanical Name:

Persea americana

Extraction Method:

Cold pressed from the pulp of the avocado fruit and then refined.

Aromatic Scent:

Avocado carrier oil has very little scent.

slightly thicker and heavier than most carrier oils

None Known.

Avocado carrier oil contains Vitamins A, B, D, E, and Beta carotene. It is a deeply penetrating monounsaturated oil and is best suited for very dry, mature, irritated, or sun-damaged skin and hair.

A small amount of Avocado Oil (5-10%) is typically added to other carrier oils as it will enrich vitamin content and nourish the skin. It is used mostly by product makers (particularly so in soaps, lotions and creams).

On chapped, reddened skin, use a few drops of Avocado Oil to help smooth affected areas. Massage into over-processed or heat damaged hair to smooth and nourish the hair cuticle.
Refined Avocado carrier oil is slow to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of at least 1 year under proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

5.0 5  Great oil

Not super greasy, seems to absorb well. Doesn't have a scent. Seems to be a quality product.

5.0 5  Avocado Carrier Oil

I have tried several avocado carrier oils and they all smelled strange, so I would usually end up using them in roller ball applicators. This is the first Avocado carrier oil that actually smells quite nice! So relieved! These winter months have been harsh to my skin. I was using coconut oil wash with frankincense, lavender, and tea tree eo. Now that I am in my first trimester of pregnancy, I stopped all essential oils and noticed straight coconut oil without the essential oils were making me break out. Avocado oil corrected this problem! Thank you, Plant Therapy.

I first began using Plant Therapy's organic essential oils and absolutely LOVE them. Truly, their prices and quality cannot be beat.......anywhere!! I've expanded now to using the hydrosols and carrier oils. This Avocado oil is outstanding!! I love making all my own natural and organic home and body care products using Plant Therapy. 1.0 5  Questionable

My bottle is made of clear plastic, not as advertised. Also it does not say it is cold pressed as advertised and on the top of it it is refined which nobody mentioned that either. I waisted 20 dollars as I didn't receive what I have ordered. I have also ordered refined coconut oil before and it came very dark brown and nobody came back to me after I send them email. I trash that oil as it looked off to me, it was gallon of it -waste of 25 dollars. Red Palm oil bought in same day by gallon is very orange which I know is not pure as they say so too as my pure red Palm oil is meant to be really red. They used to be good. I will have to check on different company to buy from now on. Disappointed by customer service no respond and no care with product going down with quality and misleading informations. I did love plant therapy but will not buy anything anymore.
