Amyris Product Sheet

Amyris is a thick, pale yellow essential oil steam distilled from the wood of a tree native to Haiti and other tropical climates. Because of its very high oil content, native peoples burned it as a torch to light their path through darkness; so another name for it is Torchwood.

Amyris is also sometimes called West Indian Sandalwood; however, its properties are different and it is not botanically related to true Sandalwood oil.
Amyris Essential Oil is superb for relaxation, particularly before sleep. Add 4-5 drops Amyris to your diffuser about 1 hour before going to bed, or add 4 drops Amyris, 2 drops Chamomile Roman, 2 drops Mandarin, and 1 drop Valerian Root essential oils to 1 ounce of lotion or carrier oil and massage onto the upper chest, back of neck, or arms.

Diffuse 2 drops Amyris, 1 drop Jasmine Absolute and 1 drop Rose Absolute to help set a mood. You can substitute 1 drop Patchouli or Ylang Ylang Extra for the Rose Absolute or Jasmine Absolute.

Amyris is also used to help improve the appearance of fine lines and the texture of mature skin. Add 3 drops Amyris, 3 drops Frankincense frereana, 2 drops Bergamot, and 1 drop Neroli for sheer skin bliss!

For topical application, dilute to 2-4%.

The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that Essential Oils be taken internally unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical Aromatherapy. All cautions listed for individual oils do not include those cautions from ingestion.

5.0 5  Amyris is warm and comforting

Amyris, I tried it due to the description of it being an aphrodisiac so that i could make my own blend of sensual oils for massage. What I found out was that Amyris is soo much more. Not only is warm, and comforting, adding a subtle depth to any blend, but it along with Helichrysum is transforming the look of my face now that i am using it in my facial moisturizing lotion along with Rose Absolute and Carrot Seed , and Anti-age synergy. Amyris is quickly becoming one of my favs!\n

5.0 5  Softly romatic

This is a really great relaxation oil. It\'s a nice deeper note for blends when vetiver or a cedar is too strong. This has also become one of my favorites for adding to facial serums.

5.0 5  Lovely for sleep and citrus

I really enjoy Amyris, I use it in my sleep master blend and I really enjoy it blended with citrus. It has a very soft, woodsy, creamy scent. It reminds me of copaiba and sandalwood (I actually used to use sandalwood in my sleep master blend but swapped for amyris because it\'s much cheaper) It also makes a lovely roller when blended with sandalwood.

recommend  Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
